Go over hygene expectations with your child. Cover your mouth when you caugh to not Spread colds, wash hands EVERY time you use the restroom and after lunch or more times if needed. GO over how important it is to NOT share drinks, not share combs / brushes or hair accessories (for girls).

If you set up a station near the door for things like backpacks, shoes, coats (shudder, it’s going to be cold again one of these days), it makes things simpler in the morning. Try to eliminate frantic searches for things you need to take with you. A cork board in this area is also handy to pin a list of things to take or permissions slips etc.
Get back to the back to school schedule EARLY. Two weeks before school starts, we start getting back into “the routine”. In the tub at a regular time, in bed by 8:30, lights out by 9, etc.
Getting a tracking system on your phone is a great tool by your mobile phone company and is very cheap. Ask your provider.
Physicals - A yearly check-up can make all the difference. You want to make sure your children have no vision or hearing problems which could lead to learning problems.

When Peanut gets home from school, she rarely has anything to say about her day. However, when we are saying prayers before bed, she seems to relax enough to tell me all the good and bad things that happened during the day. We are sure to leave some extra time in planning bedtime so that we have the opportunity to discuss the daily happenings.
We wash my daughter’s hands very often and sanitize too and we teach her how important it is to keep the germs away, she knows it’s good to wash hands after we eat, play and use the bathroom.
